With the passing of June 30th, Microsoft has marked the "end of sales" of Windows XP.  Some vendors will continue to offer XP as a "downgrade" option on new systems.  Essentially this means a Vista PC will be downgraded to XP as a purchase option.  We've no idea how long these kinds of options will continue.  There will be no "retail" sales of XP to consumers as of now.

 

What about XP support?  Well, Microsoft has reaffirmed continued support by providing security updates and other critical updates for XP through April, 2014.
